Obituary for Arlene Bowles

Arlene Carol Bowles, 60, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, kept company by her husband at her side.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Arlene and her family moved to Lakeland, Florida when she was a child. Beginning her career at People's Bank and ending her career working as an Accounting Clerk for MidFlorida Credit Union, Arlene was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication.

Above all else, Arlene treasured time spent with those she loved. She enjoyed camping adventures, relaxing days at the beach, gathering with family and friends, and getting lost in a good book. Whether sharing stories around a campfire or enjoying a quiet afternoon reading, she found joy in life's simple pleasures.

Arlene will be remembered for her unwavering love and care for others, her stubborn determination, and her delightfully dirty sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. She was a devoted wife, mother, family member, and friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around her. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rusty Bowles; her daughter, Courtney Bowles; her son, Nate Bowles, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Bowles; her siblings Susan Sheets, Brian Thomson and his wife Kim Thomson, and Donald Thomson and his wife Misty Thomson; as well as her mother-in-law and father-in-law Paul and Becky McNeil and may close friends.
