The Centering Prayer Group will meet weekly online via Zoom for the summer, June 2-Sept. 1, at 6:15 p.m. rather than in person during this time. To obtain the link for joining us, please email Rickey Cotton at firstname.lastname@example.org. All are welcome to join this prayerful group -- and now you can do so from the comfort of your home!
Each week we will consider a spiritual theme. This week’s theme is Galatians 5:22-23: “…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Centering Prayer is silent, meditative prayer intended to draw us into a deeper, more intimate relationship with God. Each week we will consider a spiritual theme in our time together. The Florida-Bahamas Lutheran Synod is promoting Centering Prayer as part of its Vitality program for local churches. You can read about it on the synod website. https://fbsynod.com/vitality/
Dan Stoller is contact host for the Thursday meeting. Rickey Cotton, long-time practitioner and trained presenter, is the facilitator. Please contact Dan or the church office for more information.
