Backpack Ministry

We are starting a new year of our Backpack Ministry for Oscar Pope Elementary School.

Oscar Pope Elementary is a local school in a at risk neighborhood, with a high percentage of needy students.  They receive breakfast and lunch at school during the week and our backpacks provide supplements to get them through the weekend.

While we have a baseline to provide food supplies through our routine giving (Annual Spending Plan), we can always use gifts in the form of food donations.  We will post these requirements in weekly announcements.

Many thanks to all who support this program with gifts of money, gifts of food, gifts of time -- purchasing, packing, and delivering, and gifts of prayer.
