Greetings People of Grace,
I know that many of you may have questions about what the most recent guidance from the Center for Disease Control means for us at Grace. The Covid Task Force and your Council are reviewing the information in light of our specific community, our worship routines in this time of pandemic, the recent data for Polk County and a myriad of other factors. For now, particularly for this coming Sunday, we will continue with our current practices of safe protocols -- masking, safe distancing, hand sanitizing, etc. And as previously announced, beginning next Sunday, May 23rd, Pentecost Sunday, we will return to one service at 10:00 which will also be live streamed through our webpage and also Facebook Live. For registration, please continue contacting the office or otherwise indicating your plan to be present with us in the sanctuary.
We have realized for many months now that our response to this virus and the pandemic it has caused is not an either/or, all or nothing matter. Instead our actions and decisions must be much more nuanced and, above all, guided by love and care for our neighbor, those we know and even those we do not. More information and updates will be provided later next week. Please let us join together in prayer for wisdom and guidance and protection for all.
In Christ's love,
Pastor Pam
