What Stewardship Means to Me

By Patrick Blanchette, Jr., Stewardship Committee

For me, stewardship means being a contributing part of the community I belong to. That includes society as a whole, but also smaller groups, like our congregation here at Grace.

Each of us has different gifts, resources, and time we can offer. Stewardship doesn’t look the same for everyone, and it shouldn’t feel like a competition. What matters is doing what we can, giving what we can, without overextending or overpromising. Stewardship is a group effort rooted in love, compassion, and faith.

Stewardship is important to me because it’s a sign of maturity and personal growth. Without it, the church would not exist. Whether our part is big or small, every contribution helps us become more whole as people. And even when stewardship is challenging, it deepens our humanity, strengthens our community, and nurtures our souls.
