Over the past several weeks we have watched with heavy hearts as first responders searched tirelessly for signs of life from the debris pile resulting from the devastating collapse. We have carried this situation in prayer and have responded to one of the express requests for assistance as identified by Bishop Suárez.
Donated snacks for the first responders, for vicims, family and friends, and others in need have been generously given by the Grace community. Over 50 pounds of snacks were collected by our Social Ministry Committee, and two boxes were mailed today to the Skylake Synagogue in North Miami Beach. Rabbi Ariel Yeshurun there is coordinating the collection and sharing of these gifts.
Our hearts have been heavy as we have watched this unfold. All who have been touched by this catastrophe are carried in our prayers. We are grateful for the first responders and others from Skylake Synagogue and the surrounding community who are giving sacrificially to be present for those in such pain and despair.
Our mission is to share God’s love with each other, our community, and the world.
